As with West High Yield, MGX recently received a permit for extracting bulk samples from Driftwood Creek from the British Columbian government.
American Magnesium is aiming to develop a magnesium alloy complex in New Mexico, including an estimated billion-ton dolomite deposit averaging 20.7 percent magnesium oxide with no overburden. Another technology company, MagPower systems is developing its own magnesium-air fuel cell technology.
